Frequently Asked Questions

What is ModernMeds?
ModernMeds is an online platform that connects patients with licensed doctors who can assist with evaluating and treating specific health conditions. Our platform lets people like you more easily and conveniently access healthcare. A simple online questionnaire about you and your health issue gets you started. One of the medical providers will review your information and decide upon a treatment plan that is safe and appropriate for you. If a medication is prescribed for you, the platform automatically connects you and your doctor to a pharmacy that will deliver the medication directly to you.
Who are the doctors?
ModernMeds works with different healthcare professionals to provide services. For our hair loss program, we work with Beluga Health, and provide services to patients in all 50 states. For the weight loss program, we currently only service patients in Florida and California, and the doctors are part of the Platinum Health group.
How can I contact the doctor?
Getting in touch with your healthcare provider is simple. We use a HiPAA compliant software program that has a chat messaging feature. For weight loss please click here https://secure.gethealthie.com/ and for hair loss please use this link. https://secure.gethealthie.com/ You can also always email us at help@modernmeds.com for any questions and we will point you in the right direction.
What pharmacies do you work with?
We try and simplify your experience with getting your medication. For hair loss treatment, we work with Curexa, Inc., a trusted pharmacy partner. Since the hairspray medication is compounded, the formulation is made specifically for you and shipped directly to your door.at no additional cost. For our weight loss patients, your prescription will be electronically sent to the pharmacy of your choice, where you can either pick it up at your convenience, or have it delivered to you.
Do you accept insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance in our platform. However, for our weight loss program, the cost of the medication may be covered by your insurance’s pharmacy benefits. You may also be able to use your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) to cover the costs.
